WINTER
Support the process in colder weather
The insulated structure helps retain composting heat. Keep the material balance and moisture right; cold conditions can still affect progress.

THE WINTER PROBLEM
Cold conditions can slow decomposition in an ordinary compost heap. Insulation helps retain the heat produced by the composting process. Keep the right balance of materials, moisture and air to support the process through the colder months.

INSIDE THE AEROBIN
Insulated lid and walls help retain heat. The passive aeration lung brings air through the compost. No routine turning is needed. Two lower access doors let you remove mature compost. The base collects liquid feed for dilution and garden use.

Keep adding suitable materials throughout the year. Harvest from the lower doors when the compost is mature; progress depends on conditions and how the bin is managed.

SPRING
Check material at the lower access doors. Use mature compost in suitable garden applications, following the product guidance.
SUMMER
Add suitable kitchen and garden material with dry brown material. Check moisture and collect liquid feed for dilution as directed.
AUTUMN
Manage seasonal garden material in suitable sizes and keep following the instructions as temperatures fall.
WHERE TO PUT IT
Choose a firm, level, even surface that fully supports the base. Keep access to the lower doors and liquid outlet clear. This Aerobin is intended for outdoor installation; follow the instructions supplied with your 200L model.

The Aerobin is designed for year-round insulated composting. Insulation and passive aeration support the process, but temperature, material balance, moisture and loading all affect progress. Follow the instructions supplied with your model.
Composting time varies. Material mix, moisture, loading and temperature all affect progress. Check through the lower access doors and harvest only when the compost is mature.
Use suitable kitchen scraps and garden material, with an appropriate balance of green and dry brown material. Keep out meat, fish and dairy, and follow the instructions supplied with your 200L model.
